You further affirm that you understand and will be liable for any overpayment caused by not adhering to the responsibilities that are outlined, and will advise the Veterans Services office of ANY changes in your enrollment.

PLEASE READ:

Official Transcripts: Official transcripts must be received by DVC from all previous colleges attended PRIOR to scheduling an appointment with the counseling office.

Veteran Counseling: You must schedule an appointment with the DVC Counseling office to meet with a VA counselor to declare a major and obtain a Student Education Plan. If you decide to change majors you MUST make a new education plan to continue using benefits.

Progress and Payment: VA requires that you be pursuing a single program of study AND be making satisfactory progress towards achieving your educational goal. The classes you register for MUST correspond to your education plan and major. The VA will pay for required courses, or prerequisites for those courses, but it will NOT pay for recommended courses. Students who fall below a 2.0 GPA will be placed on academic probation and may be reported to VA.

Notice of Schedule Changes: It is your responsibility to notify the DVC Veterans Services office of any changes to your schedule. This includes unit changes, dropping courses, adding courses you wish to be certified for, withdrawing from courses, and if you stop attending.

Grades: You may be required to pay back the VA for any money recieved for grades of F, NC, or W unless there are mitigating circumstances.

Course Repeats: Only grades of F, NC or W can be repeated and paid for again by the VA. D's are normally considered a passing grade.
