Notice Regarding Licensure and Certification Eligibility
| | | | | | | |
Some programs prepare students for careers that require a Texas-issued professional license or certification. Please be aware that eligibility for state-issued licenses and certifications is defined by federal and Texas law and may depend on an individual’s immigration status or lawful presence.
Licensure and certification requirements vary by profession. Applicants should review licensure or certification requirements with the applicable Texas licensing board or an immigration attorney prior to starting a program. Federal reference: 8 U.S.C. § 1621. Additional information regarding this law may be found on the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation Verification of Lawful Presence webpage.
Admission to a program does not guarantee eligibility for professional licensure or certification.
