PRUITT-OLIVER BOOK SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

The Pruitt-Oliver Scholarship was the first scholarship created at Freewill Missionary Baptist Church. Its inception followed the passing of the family matriarch, Mrs. Mary Lois Payne Pruitt; her son-in-law, Lieutenant Oliver, Sr.; and her grandson, Lieutenant Oliver, Jr. In the midst of such profound loss, the family chose to honor their legacy by creating a scholarship in their memory. The scholarship was designed to assist a deserving student with the cost of books during their first year of college or vocational school, providing meaningful support at the beginning of their educational journey. The recipient of the Pruitt-Oliver Scholarship will receive $1,400.00 toward their college education.
