Important Information About Short Session Courses

The information below is VERY IMPORTANT. Check each statement to indicate that you have read and understand the information presented.

These courses cover 16 weeks' worth of material in either 5 or 8 weeks (depending on which session I choose), and I will likely have multiple assignments each week.

The drop/add and withdrawal dates for short session classes differ from those of full-term classes.

It is my responsibility to keep up with these important dates for short session classes. (These dates can be found by going to www.jeffersonstate.edu /de and selecting Important Dates and Deadlines.)

Email reminders I may receive from the dual enrollment office pertain to FULL TERM classes ONLY.

I am responsible for completing the attendance verification assignment (instructors may have other names for this such as syllabus quiz, etc.) in the time specified. If I am dropped from a class because I did not complete this assigned, I must follow the reinstatement plan included in the email that will be sent to me upon my being dropped. Reinstatement is at the instructor's discretion, and is NOT guaranteed.

I am responsible for keeping up with my grades and standing in all short session courses. The dual enrollment office does NOT conduct an academic alert for short sessions.

I have completed 9 credit hours at Jefferson State and have at least a 3.00 GPA at Jefferson State. I understand that if I do not meet this criteria, my course requests will not be processed. (The ONLY exception is if the course I am requesting is NOT OFFERED during the regular term.)
