1. Students must first apply for admission to Yavapai College. To begin the process, visit www.yc.edu/become.
2. Admission to the Paramedic Program is by application only. To be eligible, applicants must hold a current EMT certification through either the NREMT or the State of Arizona.
3. The program spans two semesters and includes a minimum of 1,000 combined hours of didactic instruction, clinical rotations, and agency ride time.
4. Classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 0800–1800.
5. The application window for the Paramedic Program opens January 1st and closes on April 1st at 1700.
6. Only complete applications will be reviewed for consideration.
7. Applications received after the deadline will be placed on a waitlist.
8. All accepted students are required to pass a 10-panel drug screen and background check, which will be completed during orientation.
9. Once the application period has closed, candidates will be notified by email of their acceptance status.
10. All accepted students will receive dates for mandatory orientation. scheduled in June and July. Attendance to one orientation date is required.
