This policy was established to help ensure compliance with program integrity rules consistent with the regulations issued by the Department of Education (34 C.F.R 668.71 – 668.75, 668.18 and 668.14) and the requirements outlined in the Department of Defense (DoD) Voluntary Education Partnership Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) related to misrepresentation, recruitment, payment of incentive compensation, and tuition assistance. This policy will provide efforts to eliminate unfair, deceptive, and abusive marketing aimed at Service Members. Its purpose is to also strengthen compliance with both Department of Education and Department of Defense policies and requirements regarding withdrawals and Readmission requirements for Service Members.

In accordance with the Department of Defense (DoD) Voluntary Education Partnership Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), Daytona State College (DSC) will withdraw and/or promptly readmit service members with the same academic status they had when they last attended the institution or were accepted for admission prior to deployment. This readmission applies to any student unable to attend school due to military service.

The Records and Registration Office will be the point of contact for students who have completely withdrawn from DSC for a period of more than 30 consecutive days and not to exceed 5 years with an intent to return. The student will complete the online intent to return form and submit to the Records office.

This is a formal request to be readmitted (return) to Daytona State College after having completed active duty command. I understand that to be in compliance, you must submit this notice of intent to return along with the required documents to be readmitted into the next enrollment term. I understand that the courses that were dropped due to my active duty may not be available at the time of readmission and that I am returning with the same academic status held when last attended the College.

3. Please check the box below indicating that you understand this is a formal request to readmit (return) to Daytona State College after having completed active duty command. You also understand that to be in compliance, you must submit this notice of intent to return along with the required documents to be readmitted into the next enrollment term. You understand that the courses that were dropped due to your active duty may not be available at the time of readmission and that you are returning with the same academic status held when last attending the College. You attest that you have been withdrawn for at least 30 consecutive days and no more than five (5) years.
