The Certified Nursing Assistant training provides the knowledge, skills, and attitude to work as an entry-level healthcare professional. The CNA Program is designed to accommodate entry and advancement within the nursing profession. Upon completion of the program and the attainment of certification as a CNA, employment is possible in a variety of healthcare settings with the opportunity of upward mobility to licensed practical nurse (LPN) and/or registered nurse (RN). The CNA program allows individuals with a minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent) and a clear Level II background check to begin the application process. Students will earn their Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification during the CNA course. Additional practice times will be available throughout the program in a state-of-the-art simulation learning center and nursing skill lab.
This program will be offered at NO COST to participants at the Miami Dade College's Medical Campus location through a partnership with the Lennar Foundation. Through this partnership students will receive tuition, books, uniform, and background check.
